Privacy policy

Your portfolio data deserves deliberate protection.

Effective August 18, 2026

This policy explains how WriteCall handles information during its private beta. WriteCall is a read-only portfolio organization and decision-support application. It does not place trades or move funds.

Information we may process

When a user authorizes a brokerage connection, WriteCall may process account identifiers, institution and account names, balances, buying power, positions, option contracts, orders, transaction activity, dividends, and connection status. We may also receive contact information and support communications.

How information is used

Information is used to display portfolio information, organize activity across authorized accounts, calculate portfolio metrics, identify items for human review, maintain account mappings, troubleshoot connections, and improve reliability. WriteCall does not sell brokerage or portfolio information.

Brokerage connections

WriteCall uses SnapTrade to facilitate authorized brokerage connections and retrieve available account data. Brokerage credentials are entered through the connection provider and are not requested by WriteCall. Connections are intended to be read-only during private beta. SnapTrade’s own privacy terms also apply to information it processes.

Storage and safeguards

Private-beta portfolio records and brokerage exports are maintained in controlled, non-public systems. API credentials and access secrets are not placed in public website source code. Access is limited to the portfolio manager and authorized service providers necessary to operate the connection.

Sharing and disclosure

Information may be shared with service providers such as SnapTrade only as needed to provide authorized connectivity, comply with law, protect users or the service, or complete a user-requested support action. WriteCall does not use portfolio information for advertising.

Retention, access, and deletion

Users may request information about their data, correction of account labels, disconnection of a brokerage connection, or deletion of locally retained portfolio information, subject to legal, security, backup, and recordkeeping requirements. Requests can be sent to the address below.

Security and limitations

No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should not send passwords, full account numbers, Social Security numbers, API keys, or raw brokerage exports by ordinary email. Suspected security issues should be reported promptly.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as WriteCall’s private beta and connected services evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page. Questions and requests may be sent to michaellucus@writecallapp.com.
